APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                           
In terms of section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,       
shareholders are advised of the appointment of Mr Peter Cook, as a Non-executive
director on the Miranda Board, effective immediately.                           
Mr Cook has been employed in the short term insurance industry for over 40      
years, servicing clients in a wide variety of industries, particularly Mining   
and Manufacturing.  He is currently appointed as an executive for Business      
Development with a major Insurance broking firm.
